Once upon a time my good friend Martijn found a pair of obscure Solton SM100 expander modules. I played around with one of them and really liked the basic sound quality and thick chorus and decided to buy it. When i screwed it open i discovered the secret... it uses SSM chips to make those creamy sounds! It did not come with any documentation and no way to edit the patches but after a lot of fiddling about i stumbled across a way to set the patch parameters with Midi commands. I've never figured out a way to download the current patch or an entire bank so you better start by loading & sending a basic patch (included in the download) and proceed to edit from there.
